I have to tell you that cutting a child's hair is not for the faint of heart! Hannah's hair still won't grow in the front, but keeps growing in the back and it's super thin and fine, so to keep her from having a mullet I cut it again tonight. Despite my constant chatter of "Be still be still be still!!!!" she managed to jerk her head forward JUST as I was snipping the center back section, so it went WAY shorter than I intended, and then I had to trim the rest to match. Once it dried it really doesn't look too bad, because the front still sweeps to the side so she can still wear bows I think. We're just going to have to put her in a lot of pink and a hairbow every day for a while! Since I had cut Hannah's hair so short, I thought I should trim Jack's too. Now that it's not humid anymore, his little curls don't show much and his hair was looking too long. I didn't cut very much, having been sufficiently frightened by cutting Hannah's hair, so I just trimmed above his ears and along his neckline. I saved the little bits for his baby book. He actually sat pretty still once I let him gnaw on his toothbrush.
Below is a picture of Hannah post-haircut holding her baby. She's learning to be very careful holding her babies. She named the one in this picture "Pink Margaret" for some reason. I also included one of Jack with bad lighting, but you can see I didn't cut much off of his hair. He loves to take his shoes out of his dresser and throw them around, which is why there is a shoe in the foreground. Yes, that is a bruise on Jack's forehead - he tripped and ran his forehead into the corner of a wall. Sometimes I think those helmets neurotic parents buy for their kids are not such a bad idea after all!

Just to give you hope...I cut my boys hair this week and every time it's gotten easier. :) We've gone from tears and jerking to following most of the instructions. But seriously, it's just been recent. Cute pics!
