Hannah's Whales

I'm not sure why, but lately Hannah has been drawing a lot of whales. At least, that is what she tells me: her pictures bear little resemblance to anything at all. Still, at least she's working on it.

Above is a picture she drew for my mom, and when asked what it was she titled it "Whales and Some Fish."

This is a picture she drew for Josh's mom, and she told me to write her name on it, and to write "These are whales. Whales are not fish, they are mammals. They have babies, not eggs."

That's not bad for a two and a half year old to know that whales are mammals and have live babies not eggs, right? I told her that in passing when she first started talking about whales a few weeks ago. Again, I'm not really sure where the fascination with whales came from, maybe I should check some books out from the library with whales in them. Any suggestions?
