One of Hannah's gifts was a baby doll from my grandparents. Hannah named the doll "Charlotte Twenty." I asked her if that was twenty like 18, 19, 20 and she looked at me like I was daft and said, "NO, it's her LAST NAME." So. Charlotte Twenty it is.

Hannah asked for a birthday party that was "a pink tea party, with a pink cake, pink frosting, and pink everything." So I made some little pink invitations tied together with pink ribbons, and my mom made Hannah a red velvet cake (every girl needs a red velvet cake on her birthday, in my humble opinion) with pink frosting. Several of Hannah's friends and their mamas came over and had a tea party of sorts, which delighted Hannah. I felt bad that I was so exhausted from new baby stuff and didn't make it a bigger deal, but I think the simple party was enough for Hannah this year. She had fun and didn't seem to know the difference!
