This morning Hannah is carrying around the Little People farmer from her Fisher Price farm. His name is Almanzo. She made him pretend breakfast using her cooking toys, and when I asked her what she had cooked for Almanzo she replied, "Chicken and lollipops and broccoli cake." I'm sure Almanzo was thrilled.
Next she decided Almanzo needed some education so she put him in her chair and gave him Circle Time by telling him about letters and making drawings with her crayons to tell him about colors. "Yook Owmazzo, diss is orange. You yike orange? OK! Good boy!" She made some tiny marks to simulate writing and told him it was his name, and carefully sounded it out for him as she moved her finger under the writing - "owwwwww-maaaaaa-zzzooooooo."
Satisfied with his progress, Hannah bestowed a sticker on Almanzo and put him down for a nap in her bed. Doubtless he was worn out by the morning's excitement.

That is so funny!! What a great combination of foods she prepared :).
Perhaps Hannah was trying to 'sneak' healthy ingredients into Almanzo by putting broccoli in his cake! She must have read 'Deceptively Delicious' when you had it out of the library! I loved this post...the imagination of a child is a wonderful thing!
Doesn't everyone like chicken and lollipops and broccoli cake?? She is so imaginative with her playing and I love to see what she is doing new! Morgan also has the little people farmer. We haven't named our people yet though. Alamanzo sounds like a great name!
